How about a Plan B!

Fête de l’Huma 2015

Translated Wednesday 26 August 2015, by Hervé Fuyet

We have the beginning of a reply to the question posed by the French newspaper l’Humanité, which asks us to come up with new solutions to the crisis of the European Union.

(1) Let’s put an end to the dead end of acute Tsiprasism

(2) Let’s all work with Yanis Varoufakis at the Fête de l’Huma in September, to elaborate a solid "Plan B" for a possible multiple Euroexit . Yanis has been invited by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, at the stand of the Parti de Gauche. Then we will be in a position seriously to negotiate.

A comrade writes to me: "Step by step, the idea of leaving the Euro group and the European Union makes its path ... Keep up the fight"

Another comrade, close to the KKE, offers a criticism: "Varoufakis and Melenchon? The "Plans B" of social democracy, yes!"

As is the case for many of us, I have great respect for the KKE and for its history. But with such a refusal to combine its efforts with those of a pro unity social-democratic left to launch a revolutionary process, there would never have been a communist revolution in Russia, in China, in Vietnam, nor anywhere else.

Another comrade adds, "The solution is there. Of course the KKE should unite with the action of Varoufakis, instead of getting up tight. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain by uniting. The KKE can also make more of an effort of internationalism with respect to the Communist Party of Russian Federation (Zyouganov), with socialist China, and with the BRICS nations, as Cuba does, for example!"
