The Decisions Taken in Saint-Denis

Translated Tuesday 12 September 2006, by Henry Crapo

(1) The document on strategy was adopted with near unanimity.

(2) A new national rendez-vous was established for mid-October, to discuss the political program and to have a first exchange concerning candidatures for the legislative elections.

(3) In the next few days, a poster and tract will launch an appeal for the creation of local collectives, and several large public regional meetings will be organized, at the same time as local meetings at the initiative of the local collectives.

(4) For the presidential election, candidatures will be registered by 1 October, and will be debated by the collectives in mid November. A national meeting of the collectives will then see if a consensus can be reached.

(5) A provisional group of spokespersons was designated. Its first public expression will be at the Fête de l’Humanité, with a debate at 17h on Saturday in the space set up by the National Council of the French Communist Party.
