Thierry Lepaon and the members of the CGT Confederation Bureau decided on Jan. 6 to tender their resignations to the National Confederation Committee.
The members of the CGT Confederation Bureau, including general secretary Thierry Lepaon, have decided to tender their resignations to the National Confederation Committee (CCN) on Jan. 13.
During their meeting on the evening of Jan. 6, the nine members of the bureau – the tenth administrator – treasurer Eric Lafont, having already resigned – decided to tender their resignations to the CCN. The CCN might accept or reject the resignations.
This decision “must be voted on” by the Executive Commission, whose meeting will continue on Jan. 7. The 56-member Executive Commission is meeting behind closed doors for discussions which are to last two days.
